President Vladimir Zelensky introduced the new Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters and the National Security and Defense Council. This was reported on the website of the head of state on Saturday, September 9.
In particular, by order No. 572, Zelensky introduced the new Minister of Defense Umerov to the staff of the Headquarters and removed his predecessor Alexei Reznikov from it.
By another order, the president introduced a new head of the Ministry of Defense to the National Security and Defense Council and removed Reznikov from there.
Let’s recall that on September 6, the Verkhovna Rada approved the appointment of the ex-chairman of the State Property Fund Rustem Umerov to the post of the head of the Ministry of Defense.
