The Prime Minister noted that the government is working with the UN and other partners to fully restore agricultural exports from Ukraine.
Ukraine is expanding the international humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine, within the framework of which food is sent to African and Asian countries, through the ports of the Danube. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“Today the government will approve a decree that our ports on the Danube will now be involved in providing humanitarian aid in the form of wheat and corn to countries in Africa and Asia,” he said.
The head of the Ukrainian government mentioned that we are talking about the initiative of the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky Grain from Ukraine. Its impact now extends to Ukraine’s Danube ports.
“This is our contribution to global food security. We are working with the UN and our partners to fully restore agricultural exports from Ukraine and finally unblock our Black Sea ports,” concluded said Shmygal.
We remind you that Vladimir Zelensky held negotiations with the leader of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa. He also invited the Republic of South Africa to join the Grain From Ukraine initiative, which includes the export of Ukrainian grain.
As you know, according to the UN, 34 countries around the world are in need of food aid.
