Antonio Guterres does not see a peaceful resolution to the war in Ukraine in the near future.
There is unlikely to be a peaceful solution to Russia’s war against Ukraine anytime soon. United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres said this at a press conference in New Delhi, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“I really don’t believe that we will get a peaceful solution in the near future. I believe that both sides have decided to continue the fight. And, of course, we must pay tribute to all those who, with good intentions. , are trying to do everything possible to prevent this dramatic situation from reaching its conclusion,” Guterres said.
The UN Secretary General noted that in Russia’s war against Ukraine, all mediation efforts to resolve the situation are very important.
Let’s remember that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, previously said that the only document on the basis of which negotiations with Russia can take place is the Peace Formula.
