We do not believe that the incident where debris from a Russian drone fell on Romanian territory was a deliberate attack by Russia, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.
The Secretary General of the military-political bloc emphasized that NATO does not have any information indicating a “deliberate attack by Russia.” Stoltenberg indicated that the Alliance is awaiting the results of the ongoing investigation into this incident.
Let us recall that at first neither the Ministry of Defense, nor the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor the leadership of Romania recognized the fall of debris from a Russian drone on the territory of a NATO member country; Kyiv’s statements were criticized. However, subsequently the President of Romania and the Ministry of Defense recognized the fall of Shahed on their own territory.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Danilov criticized NATO’s weak-willed response to the incident.
