This was stated by a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, the presidential representative in parliament Fyodor Venislavsky, RBC-Ukraine writes.
He recalled that last year the Rada amended Art. 1 of the law on mobilization training and mobilization, and provided that women with a medical or pharmaceutical education should be put on mandatory military registration. In pursuance of this law, the government issued a decree on the procedure for military registration, and the Ministry of Defense issued an order on military registration of women.
If they are registered, they acquire the status of conscripts. Those liable for military service go abroad in the order established for those liable for military service. That is, if there are some separate documents that give the right to a temporary exit, then yes, they will be able to go. If not, then they, like men, will be limited in their right to leave,” Venislavsky explained.
All other women with military registration specialties related to military affairs, from the same date, can be registered voluntarily.
It is not planned to expand the list of specialties for women that must be registered, he said.
Recall that in October 2022, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on voluntary military registration of women.
