Today, September 7, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov with the rank of lieutenant general, as evidenced by order No. 564/2023.
“Assign the military rank of Lieutenant General to Major General Budanov Kirill Alekseevich – Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine,” the document said.
Recall that Budanov previously said that Ukraine does not need to create an analogue of the Israeli Mossad in the future to hunt enemies outside the country, because “it already exists.”
