On the night of September 7, the occupying army of Russia once again attacked Ukraine at night with Iranian kamikaze drones. The air defense forces destroyed 25 out of 33 “Shaheds” flying to Sumy and Odessa.

The Russian invaders attacked the Sumy and Odessa regions with several groups of attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type from the northern, southeastern and southern directions (Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF, Cape Chauda – TOT, Crimea). In total, launches of 33 “Shaheds” were recorded, mainly in the direction of the southern regions of the Odessa region, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement.
According to the results of combat work, the forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, managed to destroy 25 “Shaheds”.
Subsequently, Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odessa OVA, reported on the consequences of the Russian attack for the Izmail region.
As a result of today’s attack by “Shaheds” in several settlements, civil and port infrastructure facilities, an elevator, and an office building were damaged. One civilian was injured. The truck driver suffered a minor leg injury. Elimination of consequences is underway on the spot. All relevant services are working,” Kiper said.
