Rikard Jozwiak noted that the NATO statement stated: Bucharest informed NATO allies about the Russian UAV incident.

Romania informed NATO allies about the fall of fragments of a Russian drone on its territory. This was reported by the Brussels correspondent of the publication Radio Liberty Rikard Jozwiak on his Twitter on Wednesday 6 September.

“The NATO statement states that Romania informed NATO allies about the Russian drone incident at today’s meeting of the North Atlantic Council,” the journalist said.

According to him, the countries of the Alliance expressed strong solidarity with Romania and stressed that they continue to monitor the situation.

Recall that the Ministry of Defense of Romania caused that the parts of a Russian drone fell on the territory of Romania during the Russian shelling of a Ukrainian port on the Danube River on the border of Ukraine and Romania.

As you know, Russia attacked the south and east of Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 drones. Air defense forces were able to shoot down 23 drones. Hits were recorded in the Izmail and Dnieper regions.

Later, the Foreign Ministry said that Russian “shaheeds” fell and exploded on Romanian territory.
