The attacker was preparing an aggressor missile attack on one of the strategically important facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia in the region. To do this, the person involved tried to install a GPS tracker at the support of the railway bridge.
According to the “beacon” signals, the enemy planned to adjust his missiles to destroy this infrastructure facility.
In case of successful completion of the hostile task, the Russian agent hoped to receive a monetary reward from his “curator” in the FSB. The money was supposed to go to the defendant on his bank card.
Employees of the SBU thwarted the plans of the invaders and detained their henchman while trying to install an electronic device.
According to the investigation, the detainee turned out to be a resident of Slavuta, who was remotely recruited by a staff member of the “Crimean” department of the FSB this spring.
According to the investigation, this freak for several months carried out the tasks of the FSB of the Russian Federation. At the direction of the special services, he collected data on the movement of equipment and repair bases of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the location of military units and critical infrastructure facilities in the region, including the defense industry. He also informed the representatives of the aggressor state about enemy “arrivals”.
During a search at the place of residence of the detainee, a laptop, bank cards, mobile phones and SIM cards were found red-handed.
Investigators of the Security Service informed the defendant about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law). The perpetrator is in custody. He faces life imprisonment.
