The criterion of closing the registry was created at the request of the declarants of local communities living in the frontline territories, whose relatives may be at risk.
The Parliament supported the continuation of electronic declaration in Ukraine. However, there are a number of reasons why it is not available for anyone to view. This was announced by the team leader Public servant David Arahamia.
According to him, civil society is not satisfied with the fact that, by default, the register of declarants is available for NABU and NAPC inspections, and cannot be used by anyone.
“There are safeguards here. 1 – In a year, the entire register will be opened automatically as before. 2 – We have created a policy where the declarant can voluntarily open his declaration for all people, and not only for the inspection bodies. Together with the leadership of the parliament, we will be the first to submit such letters to the NAPC with a request to make our declarations public. This is the political responsibility of each declarant,” said Arahamia.
He added that the criteria of closing the registry was created at the request of the declared local communities living in the frontline territories, whose relatives may be in danger, which is why such a hybrid format appeared of the declaration.
Recall that today the Verkhovna Rada adopted a general law on the continuation of electronic declarations during martial law.
As you know, the obligation to file income declarations in Ukraine was abolished after the start of the war. But the Ukrainian authorities, in a memorandum to the IMF, promised to restore the e-declaration.
