Victor Biagov was appointed Ambassador of Armenia to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

Armenia recalled Viktor Biagov from the position of the country’s permanent and plenipotentiary representative to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). This was stated in the decree of the President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian, published on Tuesday, September 5.

“Based on the proposals of the Prime Minister (Nikol Pashinyan – ed.), in accordance with the articles of the Constitution and the law on the diplomatic service, recall Viktor Biagov from the post of permanent and plenipotentiary representative of Armenia to the CSTO,” the document says .

It is known that Biagov was appointed permanent representative of Armenia to the CSTO in November 2018.

By other orders of the President, Biagov was appointed Ambassador of Armenia to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

Earlier, Armenia said that being in the CSTO “creates problems.” Official Yerevan began to speak about the importance of cooperation with Western partners on security issues.

And Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes that Russia is moving away from the South Caucasus because of its inaction.
