The head of the department of one of the diagnostic medical centers of the capital and an official of the local military registration and enlistment office organized a scheme to evade mobilization and illegal travel abroad. With a bribe, they helped conscripts to avoid being drafted on the basis of fictitious health documents. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
An employee of the medical center sent false conclusions about the state of health of the evaders to her accomplices from the local military medical commission. Such a “service” cost each of those liable for military service 11 thousand dollars. The money from the bribes transferred through an intermediary, the defendants distributed among themselves.
During searches at the addresses of residence and work of corrupt officials and in their cars, law enforcement officers found large amounts of money, as well as telephones, seals and red-handed documents.
Officials of the diagnostic medical center and the military registration and enlistment office, as well as their intermediary, were informed of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 2 of Art. 28 (commission of a criminal offense by prior agreement by a group of persons), Part 1 of Art. 114-1 (obstruction of the lawful Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations) and Part 3 of Art. 332 (illegal transfer of persons across the state border). The court sent the defendants into custody, they face up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.
Recall that in August in Odessa, an employee of the Military Medical Commission of one of the district military registration and enlistment offices and two of his accomplices were detained, who for 10 thousand dollars. put a fictitious unfitness for military service, which allowed men to go abroad.
