This complex was handed over to aerial reconnaissance by the Come Back Alive Foundation. It consists of an antenna for flight control and six drones – three main ones and three more that can be quickly replaced with those lost in battles. The total cost of the complex is 2 million 827 thousand 639 UAH. This was announced on September 4 by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
It is noted that “Mara” is a reconnaissance aircraft complex of Ukrainian production. These drones can operate at low altitudes and in 20 m/s gusty winds. The whole complex weighs almost 20 kg and two UAVs with a ground control station and an antenna fit in a suitcase.
The GUR notes that all this allows the Mari operators to quickly turn around and have maximum mobility, because the reconnaissance complex does not need additional transport.
In addition, these drones work effectively behind enemy lines, because they can stay in the air for up to 90 minutes and are highly resistant to Russian electronic warfare systems.
Recall that the Ministry of Defense allowed the SAKER SCOUT drone with artificial intelligence to be used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This UAV has good resistance to electronic warfare, and thanks to infrared optics, it can operate at night.
