The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) showed the Russian pilot who handed over the Mi-8AMTSh helicopter to Ukraine. The operation was called “Titmouse”.

Together with the pilot, there were two crew members on board, they were eliminated by the GUR fighters. The corresponding video was published by the GUR on its YouTube channel. This is the announcement of the documentary film Downed Pilots of Russia.

Recall that in July 2023, as part of a special operation that lasted six months, it was possible to capture the Russian Mi-8AMTSh helicopter and the equipment it was transporting.
The operation was called “Titmouse”. Together with the pilot, there were two crew members on board, they were eliminated by the GUR fighters.
The plane landed near the village of Poltava, Kharkiv region. The pilot is in Ukraine with his family, who had been taken out of Russia beforehand.
The captured helicopter was part of the 2nd Helicopter Squadron of the 337th Separate Helicopter Regiment (military unit 12739), based at Tolmachevo Airport.
