This is reported by the Ministry of Reintegration, citing data from the World Bank.
The funding will allow repairs to be made, such as replacing windows or fixing the roof. In total, the project plans to renovate about 98,000 houses and 8,000 apartments in five regions, the report says.
According to the World Bank, about 1.4 million homes, home to 3.5 million people, were affected by the war in Ukraine. The total cost of the damage caused is estimated at more than $50 billion.
The project aims to help restore two-thirds of our country’s damaged homes that are considered fit for repair.
Olena Shulyak, Deputy Chairman of the Monomajority faction, said that World Bank assistance for emergency housing repairs will make it possible to make minor repairs in more than 98,000 individual houses and 8,000 households in 160 multi-apartment buildings in five regions.
