In August 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine sold $2.364 billion in the interbank foreign exchange market, which was the largest volume since February of this year. This was reported by the NBU.
It was noted that from the beginning of the year, the National Bank sold $16.575 billion to support the market balance.
These costs are covered by international aid.
Remember that banks have split the import of currency in Ukraine.
It was also reported that for the first time since the beginning of the Russian Federation’s full-scale war with Ukraine, the NBU relaxed restrictions on the sale of non-cash currency to Ukrainians.
