The thief turned out to be a 44-year-old resident of Tula who had no job anywhere and had previously been repeatedly convicted.
In the city of Tula of Russia, a pensioner was attacked for five kilograms of sugar. Interfax reported this with reference to local police on Thursday, March 31st.
“A middle-aged woman near the entrance of a residential building in Aleksin ripped a package of sugar into the hands of a pensioner,” the report said.
The identity of the thief was quickly determined. He turned out to be a 44-year-old local resident who didn’t work anywhere and had been repeatedly convicted, living on the same street with a pensioner.
In this fact, a criminal case was opened under the article on theft (part 1 of article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Police ensured that all the sugar was returned to the injured pensioner.
It will be recalled that after the start of the “special operation” in Ukraine and the sanctions imposed by Western countries, Russian citizens rushed to the shops to buy sugar, buckwheat and condoms. In some supermarkets of the country there are only battles for sugar and buckwheat.
As you know, in Ukraine the situation with the provision of food remains under control, and major stocks will last for many years. This was stated by Minister of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko.
