Ukrainian nuclear power plants have been part of the WANO Moscow Center since the organization was founded in 1989.
The World Association of Organizations Operating Nuclear Power Plants (WANO) has moved the operator of all Ukrainian nuclear power plants, NAEK Energoatom, from Moscow to the Paris Center. Energoatom reported this on Thursday, March 31st.
“Today, WANO’s Board of Governors at its meeting supported Energoatom’s application and decided to transfer the company, along with all its plants and nuclear power units, to the Paris Center of the Association,” the statement said.
It is indicated that Ukrainian nuclear power plants have been part of the WANO Moscow Center since the establishment of this organization in 1989.
Moved to Paris Center:

Zaporozhye NPP (6 VVER-1000 units)

Rovno NPP (2 VVER-440 units, 2 VVER-1000 units)

South Ukrainian NPP (3 VVER-1000 units)

WANO brings together all nuclear power plant operators in the world and promotes the exchange of experience in plant operation so that association members can work together to achieve the highest level of safety and reliability in the operation of their nuclear power plants.
Earlier, the State Service for Special Communications confirmed information about the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Energoatom has already published the “Act of Acceptance and Transfer of Protection of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant”.
