Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee begins.

Members of the British royal family gathered on Thursday to kick off events on the Queen’s 70th birthday for a four-day celebration, starting with Trooping the Color, the official birthday of the British ruler.

The Queen also issued a statement of gratitude ahead of the New Portrait holiday shot last month at Windsor Castle.

“Thank you to everyone who participated in inviting communities, family, neighbors and friends to celebrate my Platinum Jubilee in the UK and Commonwealth,” the Queen said, adding that she knew that “many great memories will be created for this holiday “. ”

“I continue to be inspired by the goodness shown to me and hopefully in the coming days I will be given the opportunity to reflect on all that has been achieved over the past seventy years as we look to the future with confidence and enthusiasm. The 96-year-old monarch was added.
