If a critical incident occurs, all checkpoints between Belarus and the EU will be closed immediately.
Poland and the Baltic countries are ready to “completely cut off” Belarus from Europe in case of “critical incidents” on the border. This was said by Polish Minister of the Interior Mariusz Kaminsky following a meeting with colleagues from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, Wprost reports.
“We made a very clear message in Minsk. Any provocation on the Polish, Latvian or Lithuanian border with Belarus will have far-reaching consequences for the regime. The signal is harsh, not ambiguous,” the politician insisted.
He added that the regime of Alexander Lukashenko is required to withdraw PMC mercenaries from Belarus Wagner which poses a threat not only to the entire region, but also to the citizens of the country, as well as the removal of illegal migrants from the border zone.
“This message is very clear… If there is a provocation, if a critical incident occurs, all checkpoints between Belarus and Europe, including the EU, will be immediately closed. We will cut Belarus off from Europe,” he insisted. Kaminsky.
It was previously reported that Poland will strengthen the border with Belarus by 10,000 soldiers.
