The new program involves studying only the subjects of the Ukrainian studies part. Grades for other subjects will be given at the school where the children study abroad.
The government has changed the format of the education process for children who are now abroad. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on September 1.
“The government has decided to reform the education process for children who are not currently in Ukraine. They have approved a standard educational program that provides for the study of subjects only part of the Ukrainian education . It’s 6-8 hours a week,” he said.
Shmyhal added that grades in mathematics or, for example, in natural sciences will be credited to the school where children now study abroad.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the government is making a systematic change of the education process.
According to him, Mikhail Fedorov and Minister of Education Oksen Lisovoy already have certain developments that will be presented by the end of the year. We are talking about five areas: improving the skills of education managers; increasing the prestige, compensation, skills and abilities of Ukrainian teachers; modern content and meaning of education based on NSE; updated system and network for equal access of all children to quality education; new educational space: its safety and quality according to new standards.
Remember that from September 1, three educational formats will work in Ukrainian schools. Each area has its own – depending on the security situation.
