The governor of the Pskov region of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Vedernikov, said that about 200 people applied to join the Druzhin volunteer detachment after the drone attack on the Pskov airport. This was reported by the Russian propaganda agency TASS.
“This indicates that people understand the situation and are ready to spend their personal time to participate in relevant events and help ensure the safety of our facilities,” Vedernikov said.
Vedernikov also ordered the formation of special task forces to patrol key facilities, including the airport, and focus on border areas.
Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Budanov, commented on the attack on the Pskov airbase.
