As you know, the AIM-120 AMRAAM is an American all-weather medium-range air-to-air guided missile. This weapon is designed to destroy air targets outside the line of sight of the target. This missile was adopted by the US Air Force in 1991, and the Abraham is also used by the armies of Great Britain, Germany and other countries. AMRAAM is the main armament of the F-15C, F-15E, F-16, F/A-18C/D, F/A-18E/F, F-22 fighters.

The warhead of the rocket is integrated into its body. It is equipped with a fragmentation warhead (with ready-made fragments) of directional action weighing 23 kg.

Recall, on August 17, the Swedish Parliament authorized the US government to sell Ukraine a limited number of AMRAAM air-to-air missiles. Earlier, Washington launched a buyback program for older versions of AMRAAM missiles to transfer them to Ukraine and strengthen air defense capabilities.
