Hakan Fidan noted that the UN has prepared a new package of proposals for the renewal of the Black Sea Grain Agreement.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who is visiting Russia, called for the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. He said this at a press conference after a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, Daily Sabah reports.
Fidan reaffirmed Turkey’s determination to contribute to efforts towards the revival of the “grain agreement”.
“We will continue to work to revive the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which is essential to global food security, stability and peace in the Black Sea region,” he said.
According to the Turkish Foreign Minister, the UN has prepared a new package of proposals for the renewal of the Black Sea Grain Agreement.
Recall that in July, the Kremlin announced the withdrawal from the grain deal, which was valid for one year and allowed the export of Ukrainian food from Black Sea ports.
According to GUR, all of Russia’s actions to disrupt the grain deal were part of a plan developed in advance.
