In the Odessa region, a large fire was removed from the territory of a garden cooperative. This was announced on August 31 by the regional department of State Emergency Services.
Information about the incident near the village of Nikolaevka was received by rescuers the previous day at 14.19.
“Upon arrival, it was found that not only grass was burning, but also bushes and buildings, so aerial reconnaissance was quickly carried out to properly solve the protection of the summer cottage and localize the fire,” emphasizes the State Emergency Service.
The fire was localized at 16.03 and completely extinguished at 17.32 in an area of 15 hectares.
“The probable cause of the fire is the careless handling of fire by an unidentified person. Fortunately, no one died or was injured. Nine pieces of equipment and 40 personnel were involved from the State Emergency Service,” the rescuers added.
It was previously reported that 10 hectares of wheat burned in the Odessa region.
