Parliament already has a draft law on arms, and a bill regulating border issues in self-defense is included.
Laws on weapons and self-defense may be adopted in the Verkhovna Rada before the end of this year. This was announced on Wednesday, August 30, by the leader of the Servant of the People group, David Arahamia, on air telethon.
“We have such an issue on the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada. There is already a draft law on weapons, and a bill regulating border issues in self-defense is included with it,” Arahamia said.
He explained that the bill would regulate what is an acceptable limit of self-defense and what is not.
“I think that by the end of the year we will fully finalize this package of documents and the appropriate changes will be adopted both in terms of weapons and self-defense,” said the citizen’s representative.
It will be recalled that last year the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a survey of citizens on the Diya mobile application regarding the carrying of firearms.
