The Ministry of Defense announced “a breakthrough in the support system for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” A major factor for the adoption of new weapons is the availability of a NATO code.
Another foreign artillery and mortar system has been adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced on Wednesday, August 30, by the Ministry of Defense.
We are talking about artillery and mortar systems of foreign production. In particular, 152 mm VZ.77 DANA self-propelled gun-howitzer, 152 mm Zuzana-2 self-propelled gun, 155 mm TRF1 self-propelled howitzer, 105 mm M101 howitzer, 120 mm M/41D mortar, 82 mm mortar , 82 mm mortar 82.
“This is a breakthrough in the support system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This exercise has been tested, and we use it for the quick and rhythmic reception of foreign weapons and military equipment provided to Ukraine (weapons and military equipment) in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the war, we had no delays. The procedure is quite simple “, where the main factor is the availability of a NATO code for a specific weapon that is provided as part of international technical assistance,” said Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov.
According to him, since most of the supplied weapons and military equipment have already been codified in the Alliance, in Ukraine it was taken into service by the orders of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In total, since February 24, 2022, 246 types of weapons and military equipment have been accepted into service and approved for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is hundreds of times more than in any year since Ukraine’s independence.
Among them, 82 samples of unmanned aerial systems were also approved for operation.
Earlier it was reported that Ukroboronprom carried out the development of “NATO” shells.
