The parties discussed the training of Ukrainian pilots and engineers on the F-16, which continues in Denmark, and agreed to start working on logistics.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that he had a constructive telephone conversation with the Chief of the Defense Staff of the Kingdom of Denmark, General Flemming Lentfer.
“The focus is on the training of Ukrainian pilots and engineers on the F-16, which continues in Denmark. General Lentfer said that some of our pilots have successfully completed preparatory activities and may begin training in flying,” Zaluzhny said.
According to him, they also agreed with the Danish partners to start working on logistics to ensure the maintenance and repair of F-16 fighter jets in Ukraine.
As you know, the Netherlands recently announced that it will supply Ukraine with 42 F-16 fighter jets. In turn, Denmark will provide 19 aircraft, six of them by the end of this year.
Recall that Romania is in talks to establish a training center for F-16 pilots.
