Ukrainian intelligence confirmed the destruction of four Il-76 heavy military transport aircraft, as previously reported by Russian media. There is also information about damage to several more units of aircraft, but the number of vessels is being specified. Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, stated this on August 30 in a commentary to the Public.
According to him, the invaders will not be able to restore the destroyed planes and carry out their tasks. The Russians use the Il-76 to transport the personnel of the invaders and their equipment.
The representative of the GUR added that the attack on the Pskov airfield was carried out using special equipment and the work of the relevant groups on the territory of Russia.
Recall that on August 30, the most massive strike by drones was dealt to the Russian Federation since the beginning of a full-scale war. In particular, the Pskov airfield was hit, where Il-76 transport aircraft, an oil depot and the location of the 104th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment were hit.
