The total value of US military aid to Ukraine since February 2022 is more than $43 billion.
The United States of America remains an ally of Ukraine, and the US Department of Defense has guaranteed funding for military support to Ukraine until the end of the fiscal year on September 30th. This was announced on Tuesday, August 29, in a briefing by Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh.
“We are confident that we will have sufficient funds to meet Ukraine’s needs before the end of the fiscal year. But, as you know, there is a request for additional funds and we hope that Congress will approve it.”
The Pentagon spokesman also recalled that the department had previously revealed an overestimate of the cost of military aid to Ukraine by $6.2 billion in packages provided from US stocks.
“These funds will not be exhausted at the end of the financial year,” Singh said.
Earlier, the media wrote that the United States planned to provide Kyiv cluster shells with a longer range.
