What after Rabotino
Yevhen Dykyy, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, ex-commander of the Aidar battalion, said that the first line of Russian defense in the Zaporozhye region of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was almost destroyed.
“When we passed Rabotino, from that moment we can assume that the fighting was going on exactly inside the second line of defense of the Russians. It cannot be said that the second line has been broken, nor is it correct to say that it has just come here we are. Here, in fact, are the fights. Because the line of defense looks different in real life than on the map. It’s not like a thin line, though. It’s a rather large complex of structures among others different distances from each other. And this, in addition to structures, is also a complex of minefields,” said Dyky.
Continuing the offensive, Ukrainian troops have achieved success southeast of the village of Rabotino (10 km south of Orekhov) and south of Malaya Tokmachka (7 km southeast of Orekhov), and are also advancing towards Novodanilovka (4 km south from Orekhov. ), Novopokropovka (15 km south of Orekhov), Malaya Tokmachka, Ochereovaty (25 km southwest of Orekhov).
Now Ukrainian troops are conducting two operations in the south of Ukraine: in the west of the Zaporozhye region and on the border of the Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions.

From Rabotino to the temporarily occupied Tokmak, a large logistics hub of the Russian army, about 20 km. Nearby is the city of Melitopol.

Near the village of Ilchenkovo, as the specialist points out, is the last major height in the area, controlled by the invaders. Altitude control will give the Armed Forces increased artillery range over enemy positions.
“The front of the counteroffensive will expand. At first it was 7 kilometers, and now it is more than 20. On the right side there will be movement towards Ochereovaty and access to highway 0401. This will allow access to the south -east of Tokmak. To the right of Rabotino – the movement and liberation of the village of Kopani and advance to P37. Advancing to Tokmok on a wide front will not allow the Russians to fully use military resources,” the note by an expert.
The APU can cover three directions of approach to Tokmok: north, northeast and northwest. The city is under operational encirclement. And if we talk about the control of the southeast of the P37 highway, it can be considered an exit to Berdyansk, said Kovalenko.
“I do not rule out that the main goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not Tokmok and Melitopol, but Berdyansk. After Tokmok, the rear line of defense begins, it is weaker than the first and second,” concluded the expert. .
