For the period of occupation of Kherson, he became the so-called “military commandant of the Kherson region” and ordered to equip dungeons on the territory of the city captured at that time.
Russian war criminals brought local residents there, who were kidnapped from private homes or right in the middle of the street during anti-Russian rallies.
In prison cells, Ukrainians were beaten, electric shocks were applied to them, they were left without food and water, and they were also threatened with execution. One of the dungeons was equipped on the floor below Bedrik’s “office office” – in the basement of an administrative building seized by the occupiers in Kherson.
He not only watched the abuse, but also personally participated in the beating of the victims. Bedryk is involved in the torture of at least 12 Kherson residents. Two of these victims were tortured to death. To cover up war crimes, the Russian invaders recorded in their own documents “forensic experts” who “found” the dead “already dead in the middle of the city.”
In addition, the criminal activity of the “observer” of the prisoners, Alexander Chichkan, Bedrik’s subordinate, has been documented.
Based on the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed Bedrik and his subordinate Chichkan about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28 and hh. 1, 2 art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war committed by a group of persons by prior agreement).
