Saudi Arabian jet crashes, pilots survive

The incident occurred today, August 28, during a scheduled training flight near the King Abdulaziz airbase in Dhahran.

A Saudi Arabian Air Force Tornado fighter jet crashed in Ash Sharqiya province. Two crew members ejected and survived. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the kingdom.

According to the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Turki al-Maliki, the incident occurred today, August 28, during a scheduled training flight near the King Abdulaziz air base in Dhahran. No one was killed or injured on the ground as a result of the crash.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.

It will be recalled that as a result of the crash of the US military tiltrotor Boeing MV-22B Osprey on Melville Island, at least three Marines died and 20 were injured.
