Russian President Vladimir Putin has chosen a strategy of tiresome war against Ukraine. This is what the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Simonyte, said, Delfi reports.
He believes that the Russian dictator is deliberately draining Ukraine in order to tire out the countries that provide aid to the Ukrainian people.
“Right now, it seems that Putin’s strategy is a debilitating war, protracted destruction,” he said.
According to Simonyte, with the help of such a strategy, the Russian Federation will try to negatively influence the speed and scale of providing assistance to Ukraine in rejecting Russian aggression.
“Then (in power in the West, according to the Kremlin’s plans – ed.) political parties will come, which will stop supporting Ukraine altogether. I see such a real opportunity,” said the prime minister.
As is known, on August 2, the presidents of Turkey and Russia had a telephone conversation, during which they agreed on an upcoming meeting. Erdogan later announced the possibility of Putin’s visit to Turkey. According to him, the exact date of the visit and agreement through diplomatic channels has not yet been determined.
Later, Erdogan himself moved the meeting with Putin to September, and then as part of the G20 meeting in India or the UN General Assembly in the United States.
