The Guardian said the parties discussed battle plans for the coming debilitating winter and a long-term strategy.
The NATO command held a secret meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny on the Polish border. It was reported by the British edition of The Guardian.
The meeting took place 11 days ago, the media said. In addition to the general, the meeting was attended by the entire command staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the Supreme Commander of the NATO Joint Forces in Europe, General Cavoli, and the Chief of the British Defense Staff, Tony Radakin.
Top of the agenda is how to deal with the stalled progress of Ukraine’s counteroffensive, as well as battle plans for the coming debilitating winter and long-term strategy as the war inexorably approaches 2024.
After this meeting, the strategy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine changed, according to the media.
The Ukrainian military is now focusing its efforts in the direction of Zaporozhye and access to the Sea of Azov.
Recall that Valery Zaluzhny previously told US officials that Ukrainian forces were on the verge of a breakthrough at the front.
