Ukraine receives information about the takeoff of MiG fighters in the depths of the territory of the aggressor country of Russia from partners, since its own radar reconnaissance is focused on tracking enemy aircraft in the temporarily occupied territory, in the Black Sea and several hundred kilometers from the border.

Yuriy Ignat, speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noted this on the air of the telethon.
They rise far behind Russian lines. I think that the same Savasleyka airfield, they need to fly closer to check the air defense. Apparently, air defense tracks the Su-24 aircraft better – this is a reconnaissance aircraft constantly located in the waters of both seas and from the north, so it actually conducts this reconnaissance. Unfortunately, our radar stations cannot detect MiGs flying far into the Russian Federation, because enemy aircraft are being monitored in the occupied territory, in the Black Sea and several hundred kilometers from the border. Therefore, we actually receive information about the takeoffs of MiGs, about their presence in the airspace of Russia, about whether they are loaded with missiles or not from our partners. In particular, there is reconnaissance information, there is information from partners, and there is our own radar intelligence,” Ignat said.
He added that, first of all, the flights of the Russians are connected with the training of the flight crew, with access to the launch areas, since the training of pilots is a continuous process that always continues.
Plus, air raid alerts that constantly irritate people in Ukraine that affect our economy and our psychological state, the enemy understands this very well,” Ignat explained.
According to him, short-term anxiety has been observed lately. In particular, there were six air alerts yesterday.
Previously, MiGs flew up to 1.5 hours… Now it’s just takeoff and landing,” the speaker noted.
Recall that since the beginning of Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, aircraft of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have made more than 14,000 sorties.
