Over the past day, Russian troops launched two missiles and 62 air strikes, carried out 89 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and settlements. More than 40 skirmishes took place on the front, the General Staff reported in the morning report on August 26.

It was mentioned that in the direction of Limansky, the enemy carried out offensive operations in the Novoegorovka and Belogorivka areas of the Lugansk region; in Bakhmutsky – in the Orekhovo-Vasilovka, Ivanovsky and Kleshchievka districts of the Donetsk region; in Avdeevsky – in the Pervomaisky area, Donetsk region. In the direction of Maryinka, the Defense Forces continue to prevent the advance of Russian troops in the area of ​​Maryinka, Donetsk region.

In the direction of Mining, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the attacks of the invaders in the area of ​​Vuhledar, Donetsk region.

At the same time, the Ukrainian army continues offensive operations in the direction of Melitopol, consolidates itself on the achieved lines, and takes counter-battery measures.

Aviation of the Defense Forces during the day delivered 12 strikes on personnel concentration areas and one on the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile system.

Missile troops and artillery units hit an anti-aircraft missile system and three artillery pieces on Russian firing positions.

Remember, according to August 26, the Russian Federation lost 259,630 soldiers in Ukraine.
