The head of state noted that the main task now for Ukraine is to bring the moment when the F-16s will drive away the invaders.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, August 25, held a meeting on the results of his visits to Europe. He announced this on his Facebook page.
“Today I held a meeting on the results of the visits. A long meeting. The issue of coordination specifically with the aircraft. Preparation of new defense packages – with the exact content that our soldiers need and they told me when they visited the front,” said the head of state.
According to him, all agreements brought home from Ukraine’s partners have already begun to be implemented.
“First of all, F-16 aircraft. The tasks are obvious. International flights are the maximum expansion of training missions. The military is the maximum acceleration of infrastructure preparation, the sending of pilots, engineers are the full readiness of Ukraine, ”said the Ukrainian leader.
The task for everyone is to get as close as possible to the moment when the F-16s will help us keep the Russian terrorists away, Zelensky insisted.
Recall that Volodymyr Zelensky will return home on August 22 after his European visits. The head of state said in a video message that the general result of these days is that Ukraine has become stronger.
It should be noted that the president recently visited the countries of Northern Europe: Sweden, the Netherlands and Denmark, where an agreement was reached on the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine after pilot training. The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with 42 aircraft, and Denmark – another 19.
Zelensky then traveled to Greece to meet with Western Balkan leaders. At the summit, the leaders of 11 Southeast European countries signed the Athens Declaration in support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
