The problem of demining territories after de-occupation is one of the main problems in Ukraine, and the Ukrainians themselves must understand the danger of the mine and explain it to children.
Demining is currently underway in the regions of Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv, Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky said at the national telethon on June 2.
“More than 2.7 million hectares were immediately removed from the mines. More than 30 million hectares remain untouched … This is a very large territory, very large volumes,” the minister said.
At the same time, he said operational demining is the main action, where people can enter the territory and start economic activities.
“We have united many countries, we are talking to states that, in addition to military assistance, will now assist us with demining teams coming to Ukraine and demining equipment,” the Interior Minister added. .
“And I’m not talking about the Black Sea, where there are hundreds of thousands of mines and weapons,” Monastyrsky added.
Recall, earlier it was reported that it would take many years to clean up the territory of Ukraine after the current war. In addition, dangerous ammunition from World War II can still be found.
