Unknown persons cut down two border posts with surveillance cameras on Lithuanian territory.
Lithuania gave Belarus a note of protest in connection with the violation of the state border and damage to the border infrastructure. This was announced on August 25 by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It was noted that on August 22, unknown persons entered Lithuanian territory from Belarus and cut down two border posts with video cameras using circular saws.
The incident took place near the village of Musteika, Varena region.
Vilnius demands an immediate explanation from Minsk about the situation and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.
