Vladimir Putin now has a “busy schedule”, and the main focus is on “SVO”, explained Dmitry Peskov.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend the G20 summit in India in early September. This is what Kremlin speaker Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing on Friday, August 25.
“No, the president has no such plans. The trip is not on the agenda today,” he told reporters, noting that he meant the format of participation directly related to the trip to the G20 summit.
He recalled that Putin participated in the BRICS summit in South Africa.
“Today the schedule is really busy. The main focus is on the “special military operation” (on a full-scale war in Ukraine – ed.),” the Kremlin spokesman added.
As you know, Putin refused to directly participate in the BRICS summit in South Africa because of the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
The G20 summit will be held on September 9-10 in New Delhi, and even before that, the Kremlin is preparing Putin’s trip to India.
In August, the visit of the President of the Russian Federation to Turkey was planned, but was canceled. Today, Peskov said that a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is being prepared.
