The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office announced the entry into force of the sentence on former Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories Yuriy Grymchak-10 years in prison with confiscation of property. This was stated in SAP’s message to the Telegram on June 2.
The former deputy minister, who was exposed by the SBU to multi-million dollar bribes, will spend 10 years behind bars. The former officer and his assistant were detained by the SBU in August 2019 after receiving part of the funds – $ 480,000. He demanded $ 1.1 million from the businessman for allegedly assisting in the decision -making of people authorized to perform state duties.
