The new group will try to control parts of the territories of the Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk regions, according to the Ukrainian military.
The Russian occupiers were trying to create a new group of troops in the direction of Slobozhansky. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the summary of the evening on Thursday, March 31.
It is indicated that a new grouping was created to establish control over parts of the territories of the Kharkiv, Lugansk and Donetsk regions, including the blockade of the cities of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
In addition, the enemy continues to attack the city of Popasna in the Luhansk region, allegedly to divert the attention of the Ukrainian military leadership from attempts to establish control over Izyum and Mariupol.
In addition, in the direction of Seversk, the migration of mercenaries from Middle Eastern countries to the city of Gomel of Belarus was recorded. Thus, on March 29, 200 mercenaries were deployed at the Gomel military airport in Belarus.
Russia continues to move missile units to Belarus to increase the intensity of ballistic missile attacks on communities and infrastructure in Ukraine. In the Gomel region, the arrival of three Iskander missile systems and two S-300 air defense systems was seen to cover them.
“The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to successfully carry out their tasks, pursue the retreating enemy, break the defensive positions of the occupiers and gradually liberate the Ukrainian lands,” the General Staff said.
Recall that on the night of March 31, Russian troops withdrew approximately 700 units of military equipment towards the Belarusian border. This was stated by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Alexander Gruzevich.
