“In general, in 5 months, from January to May included, almost UAH 232 billion was transferred to the monetary support of military personnel. This is approximately 3.8 times more than the whole of last year,” he said.
At the same time, spending on high-precision weapons, armored vehicles, artillery equipment, and drones reached 5.6 times greater than that allocated for armament in the 2022 budget.
“Separately, we have already allocated UAH 15.8 billion for the renewal of equipment,” Malyar said.
“We know that the state currently funds defense as a priority, and every cent should be used effectively and clearly, as much as possible under martial law,” the deputy minister added.
As reported, this week the Verkhovna Rada has increased state budget spending of 287 billion hryvnia, 247.8 billion hryvnia to them – for national security and defense.
