The Google search engine on Thursday, August 24, assigned a doodle to the Independence Day of Ukraine. A new thematic image appeared on the main page of the search engine.
“Today’s Doodle, illustrated by Kiev-based artist Polina Doroshenko, is dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine 2023. This public holiday pays tribute to the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people and remembers all of those who gave their lives for their country – including those who are still fighting today. On this day In 1991, Ukraine gained independence and entered the world stage as a sovereign state,” Google said.
They recalled that Ukraine has made several significant global contributions to space exploration, medicine, art, music, and technology.
“The blue-yellow flag of Ukraine, like the colors shown in today’s work, symbolizes the open sky above the endless wheat fields that are visible throughout the country. In addition, it symbolizes the lack of determination of the spirit of the people, devotion to the land and love for freedom. The doodle image depicts a parade, representing all Ukrainians showing their pride and confidence as they move forward into the future,” what is written in the doodle.
Google also emphasized that this year’s Independence Day has special meaning as the country continues its fight against Russian aggression.
