President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US Senators Richard Blumenthal, Lindsey Graham and Elizabeth Warren, who are visiting Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the head of state on Wednesday, August 23.
It is known that the President greatly appreciates the bicameral and bipartisan support of Ukraine in the US Congress and expressed gratitude to the leader of the United States and the entire American people for their leadership in defense and financial assistance to our country.
“We sincerely thank the President of the United States, the Congress, all the American people for the help given to us,” Zelensky said.
The head of state informed the interlocutors about the situation at the front and noted the priority of the issue of further strengthening the Ukrainian defense system.
The importance of starting the process of transferring F-16 aircraft to Ukraine, training pilots and additional support from the United States on this issue was noted.
It was previously reported that American arms manufacturers are significantly increasing production and factory capacity because of the war in Ukraine.
