Ukrzaliznytsia launches passenger traffic between Chernihiv and Slavutych. This became possible after the restoration of the bridge that was blown up by the occupiers in the Chernihiv region, the company’s press service reported on June 2.

The company stressed that before the war, the Chernihiv-Slavutych connection was one of the key for the local population.
Currently, three pairs of passenger trains run between Kyiv and Chernigov: No. 708/707 Kyiv – Chernigov as part of the Skoda electric train, No. 702/701 Vinnitsa – Chernigov at No. 257/258 Ivano -Frankivsk – Chernigov.
Earlier it was reported that from June 8, rail communication between Kyiv and Cherkasy was resumed. For the first time in two years, train No. will start running. 782/781 Kyiv-Cherkassy.
