This was reported by the press service of the Vinnitsa region police.
According to preliminary information from the investigation, as a result of a collision between a VAZ and a DAF truck, the driver of the passenger car and 11 of his passengers, including 6 children aged 2 to 12, died, the police say. — A 42-year-old truck driver was detained and placed in a temporary detention center.
Investigators appointed a number of examinations to establish the causes and circumstances of the accident.
On the fact of an accident with serious consequences, criminal proceedings are being investigated under Part 3 of Art. 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code. For this offense, the legislation provides for punishment of up to 10 years in prison.
