The Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently doing well in southern Ukraine amid ongoing Russian attacks, Jake Sullivan said.
The war in Ukraine is not a stalemate – Ukrainian defenders continue to systematically liberate the country’s territory from the enemy. This is what National Security Adviser to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan said, according to the British TV channel Sky News on Tuesday, August 22.
The fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, moreover, are doing well in the south of the country against the backdrop of continuous Russian attacks, the official recalled.
“We have always clearly understood that the battlefield is very dynamic. Both sides attack and defend at different points along a very long front line. We see how this (Ukraine, – ed.) continues to methodically and systematically reclaim the territory,” Sullivan concluded.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba advised Western analysts to be cautious in their forecasts for Ukraine’s counteroffensive on the front.
In addition, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine does not have enough weapons and other equipment to launch an active counter-offensive.
