This was announced today, August 22, in the morning by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that the situation is as follows:
- in the direction of Robotinoe, the Ukrainian military were successful;
- in the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations south of the city of Bakhmut;
- the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Avdeevka, Maryinka, Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk region. The enemy suffers significant losses in personnel, weapons and equipment, carries out the movement of units and troops, and actively uses reserves;
- The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Kupyansky, Limansky and Bakhmut directions. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Kleshchievka, Donetsk region. Heavy fighting continues here.
